The Origin of Taizé Services
Taizé, in the south of Burgundy, France is the home of the Taizé community, an international ecumenical community which was founded in 1941 by Brother Roger Schütz.
The Taizé community’s pattern of meditative singing, scripture readings, inspirational readings, silence, and prayer is now practiced all over the world.
